Biography

Willem du Preez is a Director of Intercontinental Trust Ltd in South Africa primarily focusing on assisting, African and global Clients with their requirements for international expansion.

Willem is an experienced consultant assisting companies with their expansion into Africa, providing assistance with the implementation of the company’s strategic objectives. This includes but is not limited to providing input into business strategy and structuring, incorporating and maintaining corporate structures globally, compliance with tax and legal requirements and managing business risk.

He has experience in the core aspects of starting, operating and maintaining business in Africa and helps clients to find sustainable solutions to the challenges that are usually encountered when venturing into a new business territory, particularly in Africa. He is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa), Registered Auditor (South Africa) and a Trust and Estate Practitioner.

Willem was previously the Head of Risk Advisory Services; comprising Internal Audit, Risk and Governance and forensic services at BDO, the world’s 5th largest Audit and advisory firm. Willem holds an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in association with the International Institute for Tax and Finance.
