Biography

Sailesh leads Minerva’s sub-Saharan Africa strategic and business development activities, coordinating these across the group’s international offices. He works closely with colleagues and professional partners sharing his passion for the continent, and guides successful families with their succession planning, as well as local and international businesses in many aspects of their cross-border structuring options.

During his thirty year career in the fiduciary and banking industry, Sailesh has served on Minerva’s board, as well as, on a private equity and some property Fund boards. He specialises in the development of new markets, building teams and business streams which has included setting up regional offices in Kenya and South Africa. More recently, he has been instrumental in the establishment of MTC Trust, Minerva group’s fast growing onshore regional trust business in Nairobi.

Sailesh is passionate about improving corporate governance and ethical conduct in business within Africa and is a Chartered Fellow of the London Institute of Banking & Finance, and a Member of the International Compliance Association. Outside of work Sailesh is an active Freemason and also serves on the board of Jersey2Africa4Football Foundation, which works with and mentors young adults living in some of Nairobi’s most deprived areas through the power of football.
