Biography

Completed PhD (graduating in July 2019) in Business Strategy in Emerging Markets, examining strategies used by South African companies when they internationalise into other African countries. As the Head of Business Strategy for a financial planning business in one of the 4 major banks in South Africa, she has led the business expansion & adaptation of the strategy into other African countries.

Her doctoral studies together with her experience of working in other African countries has made her an expert on implementable internationalisation entry strategies for setting up businesses across the African continent. Through extensive periods in diverse local cultures and meeting a wide range of business people in other African countries, she has amassed a deep understanding of how business is done across key African markets.  In her spare time, she writes thought leadership articles and speaks widely on doing business in Africa and how both individuals and businesses can contribute towards building a sustainable Africa.
