Biography

Peter has been investing in emerging markets for 20 years and is as passionate about these markets as ever. He heads up Coronation’s Global Frontiers team, which manages $700m of assets. The Global Frontiers team has regularly won the award for Best Africa Manager during its decade-long track record. Having established the Africa Frontiers investment unit in 2008, Peter has more recently grown its scope to investing in global frontier markets in 2014. The lessons learnt across the African continent have provided invaluable insights to investing in other markets that share similar challenges and opportunities. The Coronation Global Frontiers Strategy’s investment universe includes frontier markets in Africa, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. The mandate also extends to small cap emerging market stocks, leveraging Coronation’s emerging market DNA and a 25-year track record of delivering superior long-term returns in these markets. Coronation currently manages US$44bn on behalf of clients.
