Ms. Malebogo “”Lebo”” Kote is the Director of International Business at the Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC), based in London, UK. As a key leader within BITC, the Botswana National Investment Promotion Agency, she is responsible for spearheading international business expansion and driving investment promotion on a global scale. With over 15 years of experience across multiple industries, she is recognized for her strategic expertise in investment acquisition, business development, and relationship management.

Ms. Kote’s career trajectory began as an Investment Promotion Manager, where she gained eight years of experience in identifying and securing investment opportunities, generating revenue, and building robust partnerships with regional and national stakeholders. Her innovative approach and ability to cultivate long-term business relationships contributed to her reputation as a dynamic leader in the investment sector.

Prior to her role at BITC, Ms. Kote worked at Barclays Bank (now ABSA), where she advanced from managing branches to overseeing a diverse portfolio of banking schemes in the retail banking division.
