Biography
Kwabena is Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer of Third Way Capital, a Sub-Saharan Africa focused investment company that invests in high-growth and high-impact African SMEs to deliver transformational economic and social value. In this role he is responsible for originating and underwriting Third Way’s transactions as well as managing key global and regional partnerships.
Kwabena started his career at the General Electric Company in Accra, Ghana as a Business Analyst on the firm’s Energy Global Sales team before taking on various assignments of increasing responsibility across Africa, the Middle East and the USA. His final role with GE was as Lead Transactor – West Africa overseeing principal investment and into large-scale infrastructure projects across West Africa.
Kwabena joined the Rendeavour Group, Africa’s largest urban land developer in early 2017 as Business Development Manager on the firm’s west Africa team overseeing investor relations, product development, and institutional sales strategy before serving as Senior Investment Officer for the Aker Ghana Investment Company (AGIC), a principal investment vehicle set up by Aker ASA of Norway from September 2019 until the suspension of the firm’s Ghana investment program due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. His diverse work experience in several industries, geographies and companies provided the requisite experience and catalyst for the establishment of Third Way Capital in October 2020. Kwabena is based in Accra, Ghana.
