Biography

Karanvir is the Founder and CEO of YEGO, a Mobility Solution designed to secure a livable wage for 25 Million Taxi Drivers across Africa. Though taxis are a major avenue of youth employment in Africa, the prospects for drivers are uncertain and inadequate.

YEGO aims to redeem the work of drivers by bringing transparency, accountability and fairness to an informal industry. By promoting ongoing training, digital literacy, and access to finance, YEGO empowers drivers for a sustainable future.

YEGO has received several awards for its innovative technology, including being listed by Fast Company as the 7th World’s Most Innovative Company Listed in Africa in 2019. First launched in Rwanda as a proof-of-concept, YEGO’s Mobility Solution will soon expand across Africa.

Karanvir is a serial entrepreneur with over 35 years of experience in diverse fields including Semiconductors, Homeland Security and ICT. His companies have provided solutions to 70 countries across 3 continents. His pragmatic hands-on approach, years of experience in different domains and the fact that he has also been a Stand-up Comic make him an engaging speaker.
