Biography

Julia is the cofounder of Linea Capital, a revenue-based finance investment company in South Africa. Backed by USAID and the Dutch Good Growth Fund, Linea provides growth capital to high impact small and growing businesses. Julia’s background is in investment banking and asset management, having worked within FirstRand in South Africa for many years. During her time at Stanford University she developed a deep passion for alternative finance and its role within an African context. She worked closely with Endeavor South Africa, supporting high growth companies with debt and equity capital raising. Julia started Linea with her two cofounders as a response to the lack of capital options for African founders. This small team is currently raising capital and proving the use case for non-dilutive finance for high growth businesses.
