Biography

Julia Price is the co-founder and CEO of Linea Capital, a USAID-backed, Southern African investment company focused on building revenue-based finance as a financing alternative for growing African companies.

Julia Price completed her CA(SA) articles and CFA exams at KPMG in Johannesburg, specializing in Audit and Derivative Advisory. She then spent 7 years at FirstRand Bank within the principal investment, convertible bond and alternative fund management divisions. In 2015 she studied tech entrepreneurship, clean energy and quantitative dealmaking at Stanford in the US, which catalysed a deep conviction about creating new funding models that are relevant within an African context.

Julia Price spent 4 years at Endeavor South Africa advising founder-led companies raising debt and equity and now sits on the Investment Committee of the Launch Africa Venture Fund. She is an angel investor in her personal capacity and leads the Linea Capital team from Johannesburg.
