Highly astute and experienced marketing, communications, and partnerships specialists with leadership acumen in corporate relationship management, branding, marketing, and business development field. I have strong investment, export promotion and tourism marketing experience having spent over 12 years’ working in senior marketing, stakeholder, relationship and brand management roles at Brand South Africa, Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality and South Africa Tourism Currently I am a General Manager: Global Markets at Brand South Africa, the country’s official marketing, communication, and reputation management agency. I have over 15 years of experience in developing and implementing proactive marketing and communication strategies in international markets. My role is to enhance the reputation and visibility of South Africa as a competitive and attractive destination for trade, investment, and tourism. My roles also involve positioning South Africa as a source for quality exports, fashion, music, arts, and skills. My core competencies include brand development, campaign conceptualization and activation, strategy development, and strategic relationship management. I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Business and a BPhil Honours Degree in Marketing Management which enables me to leverage the latest technologies and platforms to optimize the impact and reach of our marketing, communications, and branding initiatives. I am passionate about creating and nurturing partnerships with various stakeholders, such as governments, media, business, and civil society, to promote the positive image and narrative of South Africa. My mission is to showcase the diversity, innovation, and excellence of South Africa and its people to the world.
