Biography
Recently named the Young Fintech Leader of the Year, Jeremy Quainoo is an experienced digital finance professional with over a decade of experience in banking and fintech. Jeremy champions initiatives that connect traditional financial institutions with the future of digital finance. Currently, as the General Manager, Africa Operations & Partnerships at JUMO, he oversees innovative digital finance strategies across eight African markets, leading partnerships, operational efficiency, product management, and capital growth. His journey began as the Ghana Capital Manager, advancing to roles including Strategic Partnerships Lead, Country Operations Director, and Head of Africa Partnerships. Under his leadership, JUMO has served 6.4 million customers in Ghana, disbursed Ghs8.7 billion in micro-credit, achieving Ghs 400 million in annual net revenues with a non-performing loan portfolio of less than 4%. With Jeremy at the helm, JUMO Ghana recently won three prestigious awards, namely Fintech Platform of the Year, Fintech Bank Partnership of the Year and Fintech for Financial Inclusion Firm of the year at the Ghana Fintech Awards 2023. As a thought leader, Jeremy has presented at global forums such as the Global Financial Brand Forum, sharing fintech insights with over 3000 C-suite executives. Leveraging his expertise, his YouTube channel with over 10,000 subscribers and 375 000 views serves as a valuable resource on fintech, digital transformation, agile strategy, and professional development. Additionally, Jeremy is a subject matter expert, teaching students about Artificial Intelligence in finance at the Digital Frontiers Institute, leading workshops for institutions like Ghana Commercial Bank and ABSA Ghana Limited, and lecturing on Agile Project Management at the Cambridge Center of Excellence. Jeremy’s commitment to continuous learning is evident in his academic journey, holding a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, along with certifications including PMP®, ACP®, CSM®, and CDFP®. He has made multiple contributions to the fintech industry, displayed leadership at JUMO, held impactful roles in banking and gained prominence as a speaker.
