Biography
Chris has an established track record in the UK and internationally as a developer of and advisor on major development, energy and infrastructure projects. Has worked for and with the World Bank in Africa, South America and South Asia; set up and run own consultancy, development, technology and renewable energy companies in the UK, Europe and the United States, and has chaired several major UK and international joint ventures.
Chris served as Chairman of a JV company with P&O Nedlloyd, Mersey Docks & Harbours and Standard Bank which was awarded the US$200 million container terminal and free trade zone concession for Abidjan by the Government of Côte d’Ivoire.
As Chairman of Chiltern Africa Limited, Chris is currently working on the design and deployment of a long term energy and social infrastructure programme recently signed with the Government of Cameroon. This will provide a range of off-grid energy and social infrastructure solutions, including water, healthcare and vocational training to remote settlements across Cameroon and, in due course, Sub Saharan Africa.
He is also the current Chairman of the £200 million Yorkshire Energy Park project.
Currently also a principal and shareholder in the award winning £300 million Collegelands regeneration project in the heart of Glasgow, Scotland with Dawn Group Glasgow and Glasgow City Council as project partners.
Formerly Chairman of the Bristol Science Research Park company that established the Science Research Foundation between the Universities of Bristol, Bath and the West of England.
