Biography
Ahmadou Abdoulaye Diallo, economist from Mali, 58 years old, is the Director General of the African Solidarity Fund (ASF) since 31 October 2015.
Between 1989 and 1991, he was chief of the section of the funders of the Arab Islamic civilization (Islamic Development Bank, Arab Bank for the economic development of Africa, Kuwait Fund for Development, Saudi Development Fund, funds of Qatar) and of the OPEC Fund at the direction of the public debt of the autonomous fund of the depreciation of the Mali.
He joined the African Solidarity Fund as project analyst from 1998 to 2002, he had the mission to receive and analyze of intervention requests addressed to the ASF by member countries. In 2002, he was appointed economic adviser to the President of the Republic of Mali. From 2003 to 2005, he was promoted as executive Advisor to the fund while still being adviser to the Head of State of his country. His ascension continued at the African Solidarity Fund, he became the Director of Studies and projects from 2005 to 2008 & in the same year nominated as Director of Operations.
In April 2008, he returned to Bamako, Mali, where he was elected as the Minister of the Economy, Industry and Trade. Until 2011, he held several ministerial posts including that of the industry, trade and investment, the promotion of investments of SMES and microfinance.
He holds a degree in engineering obtained in 1984 at the Institut polytechnique rural (IPR) of Katibougou (Mali), and two DESS, one in Economics, Finance and Bank obtained in 1988 at the center of Financial Studies economic and banking (CEFEB) of Paris (France) and the one in finance, currency and credit unhooked in 1994 in the center of West African Training and Studies banking (COFEB) of Dakar (Senegal).
