Biography

Vukosi is the Head of Treasury within the Treasury and Balance Sheet Management division at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). With over 15 years of experience spanning across banking, asset management, development finance institutions (DFIs), and insurance companies, Vukosi’s expertise encompasses liquidity management, bilateral debt funding, and capital market issuances in both domestic and hard currencies, including USD and EURO. In his current role, Vukosi oversees the management of the R80 billion Debt Medium Term Note (DMTN) program of the bank. He leads a highly skilled team of senior capital markets professionals tasked with raising conventional and sustainable/green funding to support infrastructure development projects throughout the African continent. Under his guidance, the team manages investment and portfolio activities, funds transfer pricing, liquidity risk management, asset and liability management (ALM) risk execution, portfolio management and yield optimization of the money market portfolio, as well as back office and settlement operations. Vukosi’s role at the DBSA is instrumental in driving the bank’s mission to facilitate impactful investments in critical infrastructure, contributing to sustainable economic development across the continent.
