Biography

Seja is an experienced dealmaker with more than 19 years professional experience. She has worked on deals of varying sizes and complexity levels spanning across early-stage venture capital investments, expansionary corporate finance deals, acquisitions as well as project financed infrastructure projects. She began her career with a leading South African telecommunications player where she managed the end-to-end process of developing new leading-edge products. Her passion for economic development led her to join prominent development financiers where among other things, she headed up all engagements with respect to growth of the local electronics and white goods manufacturing capacity in South Africa and also supported various emerging ICT and Telecoms sector broader value-chain participants. She is an experienced transactor with diversified sector exposure which includes ICT & Telecoms, minerals beneficiation, social infrastructure, tourism infrastructure, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. She is educated with a BEng (Hons) Electronics Engineering (Telecoms major), BSc Honours Technology Management, a postgraduate certificate in Technology Business Management, Euromoney training in Public Private Partnerships & Project Finance, and a Master of Philosophy degree majoring in Corporate Finance. She was awarded InspiringFifty Women in Technology for 2023.
