Biography

Nonnie Wanjihia Burbidge is Co-Head of Investments at Untapped Global, Africa (ex SA) following over a decade working in financial services including PE and VC. Nonnie was previously an Investment Principal at Zephyr Management, Acorn Funds based in East Africa investing in high growth tech enabled startups in the region. Prior to this Nonnie founded and led an innovative cloud kitchen start up that received pre-seed funding from Antler.

Before turning to start up entrepreneurship, Nonnie spent 2 years as a Vice President at Emerging Capital Partners. Prior to joining ECP, Nonnie founded the East Africa Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EAVCA) as its first Executive Director, leading the organization for 4 years and serving on it’s Board of Directors for an additional 2 years after leaving its leadership and management. Nonnie was previously an Associate at TBL Mirror Fund and Associate Consultant at africapractice. Nonnie holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Bristol, England.
