Biography
Ndeye is a passionate woman evolving in the financial sphere in West Africa. She currently heads deal sourcing and transaction execution as the managing partner and a co-founder of Brightmore Capital (www.brightmorecapital.com), an impact investment firm focused on enterprises with regional high growth potential in West Africa with offices in Dakar and Abidjan. Ndeye was recently the chairwoman for the investment committee of a 30 millions USD Mastercard Foundation resiliency program for SMEs In Senegal in 2021. She sits also on the board of Vilgro Africa, an impact investor based in Kenya and on the strategic council of InnovTech, the incubator of BEM Group, one of the leading business schools in Francophone Africa. She sits currently on the board of Villgro Africa, an incubator and impact investor supporting emerging healthcare businesses in Africa. Ndeye heads a strategic advisory firm, West Plus (www.westplus.net) providing support to public programs as well as private enterprises in their fundraising journey. Ndeye started her career in the development finance world, working on a risk management project for the International Finance Corporation (IFC). She subsequently joined the hub office of Dakar, Senegal covering Francophone West Africa as part of the Investment team in charge of identifying investment opportunities, executing transactions, actively managing portfolio projects and building relationships with clients in the banking sector. Lately, after several entrepreneurial ventures, she became part of the steering committee of an angel investor network with a gender-focus lens in Senegal, spearheading the development of key strategic partnerships with stakeholders ranging from DFIs to government entities and actors from the private sector. Ndeye brings a wealth of knowledge of the local financial and entrepreneurial markets as well as an extensive business network in the Francophone West African region. Ndeye is driven by a strong commitment to contribute to the private sector development in her region by executing innovative, developmental, and profitable investments. Ndeye holds a MBA from the University of California, Riverside. She lives in Dakar, Senegal.
