Biography

Amanda is a Transaction Advisor and Management Consultant with over 14 years’ experience providing cross cutting advisory services to increase access to growth capital, solve business issues, increase productivity, and competitiveness of organizations. She has worked in Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and the United Kingdom. She has extensive experience working with East African SMEs and has structured and arranged over $26million of direct investments. She has further structured and advised on transactions worth over $150million.  She serves as the Chairperson for the East Africa Venture Capital Association (EAVCA) Uganda chapter steering committee, and a Board member, and member of the advocacy committee for EAVCA. Amanda has served as an advisor to regional investment funds, providing analysis to inform investment decisions, go to market strategies and delivering post investment support. Her advisory portfolio also includes the World Bank, the Government of Uganda and regional DFIs. She previously worked with Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers across East and South Africa, leading business transformation and international development assignments.  Amanda’s achievements include advising on the Government of Uganda $1.5billion economic stimulus package to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Ugandan economy, structuring and delivering investment readiness technical assistance programs in energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing sectors.
