Biography

Ismael Cisse holds two bachelor’s degrees in Finance and IT from HEC Montreal, a DESS in International Business from McGill University and an Executive MBA from Paris Dauphine.
This passion has guided his career choices with world leaders in finance and consulting such as State Street and Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he quickly obtained increasing responsibilities before launching Sirius Capital in 2014.

In 2014, passionate about the challenges of access to finance for emerging economies and developing countries and an accomplished Investment Banker, Ismaël left North America for Côte d’Ivoire where he launched SIRIUS CAPITAL FOR AFRICA. A dynamic investment bank created with the mission to mobilize capital for the development of the continent through innovative structuring, an international network and the same standards of rigor and quality as the best investment banks in the world.

After six years of existence SIRIUS CAPITAL has become a key player in the sub-regional market, member of the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM) and approved by the BCEAO (Central Bank of West African States). The young investment bank has already contributed to mobilizing several billion dollars for the development of the region and the continent, for both public and private players. Sirius Capital has contributed to financing large companies and important infrastructure projects as well as developing innovative business models to address financial inclusion issues. His commitment and performance earned him a nomination as one of African Personalities of the Year alongside Mr. Akinwemi Adesina of the African Development Bank in March 2020.

Very much aware of the new trends in the industry, he obtained a Harvard degree in Fintech and is currently working hand in hand with innovative startups to help bring change to the financial services industry.

Ismael Cisse is known among his peers for his sharp knowledge of Finance and investment arena and has been recently appointed as the Vice President in charge of Finance of APSGI UEMOA (Management Broker Professional Association in the WEAMU zone).
