Biography

Saugata Banerjee is the Chairman of the DIGITIAN Group and Managing Director of the boutique digital Investment Fund DIGITIAN Investment Incorporated UAE. DIGITIAN Investment is an Africa focussed Fund mainly active in East and North Africa. He is an Investment Banker aged 48years, with a Top executive level working experience in three continents (America, Asia and Africa) over a period of 25 years plus. He has worked with leading Banking Groups like State Bank of India Group, ICICI Banking Group, Deutsche Post Banking Group , Citigroup and, CRDB Bank Group, Tanzania . He also serves as the Chairman of CRDB Bank Burundi SA.

He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant, Chartered Director, CFA, Alumni of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta(IIMC), and
Stanford Graduate Business School , USA,

He strongly believes in Alternative Economics and has been with Gross National Happiness movement since 2002. He has written several papers on different and varied topics from Digital Generation to customer Experience and presented in number of International Seminars.

He lives in Washington, and serves as a Board member in number of Institutions.
