Biography

Peter George is the Clean Cooking Alliance’s Senior Director responsible for its private sector development and investment activities. Prior to joining the Alliance, he invested in and advised oil and gas companies and renewable energy project developers in the United States, as well as start-ups and small and medium enterprises developing distributed energy solutions in emerging markets across Africa, Asia and Latin America. Over the past 13 years, he has held roles of increasing seniority in investment banking, private equity and project finance, and more recently, impact investing. Peter earned his Bachelors in Finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He holds dual-citizenship in the United States and United Kingdom and is currently based in Amsterdam.
